The game features a little time limit where you have to get a certain amount of points before you are able to continue to the next level. The game starts out pretty easy but becomes a challenge quite fast. There are little helpers built in the game, like when you cannot find a rectangle fast enough you get a little hint. And some blocks that have magic powers.

The game is a lust for the eye, a great interface, great use of colors and the whole experience plays really smooth on the WVGA devices we tested this game on (HTC Touch HD, Touch Pro 2 and Touch Diamond 2). The game should run on any VGA device or higher but we tested the WVGA Game in this instance.

The game sound is good but not perfect, kind of generic but that doesn’t matter at all. It’s a puzzle game and as long as you get decent feedback when you score or touch an item on the screen you get a good feel for the game. As said before the game plays great, and we can go on about it for some more time but it really isn’t needed. It’s a puzzle game, it has good graphics and it’s affordable.

This WVGA game(and other resolutions) is obtainable for free via the developer website – Touch Dimensions. Where you can find the game as a .cab file for your phone. The game in cab format can be either downloaded directly to your device or copied over via Windows with Bluetooth or Active Sync. This piece of software needs you have Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 3.5 placed on your Windows mobile 6.1 or 6.5 device. You can get it by searching around in the search engines and the Microsoft website.

This WVGA compatible game that some time ago was known as “Dream Catcher Lite” but for unknown reason was later renamed to Totem Star Lite. In this game you lead the destiny of your fellow tribesmen through the stars or so according to the creators of this game. The game is set in the Native American desert sunset. The goal of the game is to draw patterns around stars of similar color or shape. You can also make combination in as the authors say – ‘an infinite variety of patterns’ which in the real world will is quite finite. But there are plenty combinations possible and a lot to be discovered in the game play.

Totem Star Lite does not have a steep learning curve at all, and you will find out soon that the game is much deeper as it appears to be from the start. The goal of the game is to make certain patterns from the stars that appear in the nightly heavens. The combinations can be found in the bottom right corner of the screen. Just below a totem pole that you have to fill up to have your fellow tribesmen build more buildings, which results into a new pattern and a better high score.

Sometimes a certain star color is not available and you can make combinations to force it to spawn and complete your goal. The combinations you can make in the game can be read on Touch Dimensions website which you can locate with google.

The game is fun, and keeps you busy for a long time. The background tunes are is very nice and the entire atmosphere of the game is just perfect. These days finger friendly applications and games are really hot. But because of how the game is made it’s often better to use the stylus. The patterns you have to draw can be quite small and thus your finger can be in the way. The game plays fine with your finger if you are not that bothered with getting the best high score that while playing with a finger. In the options menu of the game you can see your current best score and toggle between sounds/music disabled or enabled. Other than that it’s just a great little WVGA game that works perfectly on all devices it was tested on, QVGA, VGA, WVGA and more. Make sure you try out this great and best of all – free game.

Resco Snake (it can be hard to write game reviews when a game is so much fun!

Resco Snake is a WVGA game that that makes use of the g-sensor instead of arrow keys that move the good old snake (as we have seen on the old and newer nokia phones). Everyone has played Snake sometime in his or her life. The simple gameplay of the old snake is what made it so great, there is nothing else you needed but the four buttons to control the snake around the level and have fun.

The same holds true for this WVGA Game carnation of Snake. Resco snake is a game that is simple to play, hard to master and pulls you in for quite the game session. You can select 4 major stage spring, winter, summer or autumn. Within these stages are sub stages that you have to complete to gain access to the higher stages. It’s fun to move the snake around just wiggling the device. It can be hard to start, but the game remains fun and not frustrating.

Tiki Towers

The WVGA Game called “Tiki Towers” is a game that is really fun to play. It’s a puzzle game in the best kind, you actually have to use your brain to gain something. The goal of the game is to make a tower that gives your monkeys (yes monkeys!) access to bananas (yes indeed monkeys like bananas!). The monkeys have certain obstacles in the way or caves that they can fall into. You have to create a tower or bridge to guide the monkeys to the bananas and to the end of the stage.

This WVGA Game is really one of the most awesome available for Windows Mobile. The game in our case tested on the 800×480 resolution device Touch HD runs amazingly smooth. The graphics are very fun to watch, and the sound works great in the game. There are a lot of stages that you can try to master!
